Anyone know where the sensor for the tacho is located on a six (cerb)? suspect my connection is poor as it fluctuates only when I hoof it. OK under gentle acceleration and throughout rev range. I think the tilt of box and engine against mountings under heavy throttle is tugging the wire somewhere

Hi !

The tacometer gets its values from the ECU. The ECU uses the crank sensor signal to produce the value for the tacometer.

The tacometer fluctuates in my Cerbera too when I accelerate. I think it is the way the taco is built that make it do this.
