I have a small oil leak from possibly what TVR Barnet called the jack shaft seal. can someone tell me what the connection is used for how easy it is to change the seal if at all possible or is a strip down engine job, which i hope to god it isnt.

cheers

Hi goon1001

The jack shaft on the speed 6 engine is the one that drives the air conditioning pump and alternater, there are 2 oil seals 1 to the front and 1 to the rear, i can check with my engine as to wether you require a full strip down to change both (reccomended).

Thanks, I had the car back at Barnet. It was the sump pipe from the scavenger that had worn itself a hole. Replaced now with a steel braided race pipe.

thanks for the reply though, and look forward to hearing more on SP6 from you as you seem to be keen on it.
