Sp6 Cam cover insert

I want to put into development a carbonfibre cam cover insert for the SP6. This will have a gasket around it (so no more silcone). Has anyone got a spare one as I'm fed up of having my car off the road for development work (6 months and counting to date...)?

If anyone has any views on the script for the top then let me know, otherwise I will just go for "SPEED SIX"

When I used to be in jap cars I got one made, but instead of sending my old spark plug cover away the person whon made it said just to trace the shape onto mdf cut it out and send it to him.

Maybe an idea

raceproved already do this for their oil fed cam box .. it might fit the std cars too .. might save you a heap of work if it does

Joolz: I have looked at the Raceproved ones but they look a different design to fit into the standard cam cover.

Tracing the design might work, but as it is not flat we could get into trouble. i will look a bit closer into that as I refuse to not use the car for another couple of months.

Having taken what little feedback I have had the view seems to be that the raised union jack design is favorite. Anybody else have any views or else I will proceeed on that basis?

Will get on with the prototyping and arrange for the mould construction.

Will look at various designs for the insert script before I settle on one. Will get some photoshopped up for a view on here as well.

The cover will be supplied with a suitable seal (so no more silicone) and stainless steel fixings. No costs yet as I dont know volumes or unit costs to me.
