Hi, sorry to hear that, it must be going somewhere, either in the cooling system, out the back which you would see if it were burning it. Could be also that the scavenger pump has failed and it is all in the sump or you must have a decent leak somewhere.
Good luck
Andy

Can I do a test to see if the scavenger is working ? Is it a electrical pump ?

I have just found out that if I run my car and heat up the oil and check oil level while it is running the level is just under max but if I stop the engine I can hear a fluid draining . If I check the oil then seconds after stopping the engine there is nothing showing on the dip stick. So the noise I can hear must be the oil draining back from the tank to the sump. What would cause this ?

Hope I'm not stating the obvious; it's a dry sump system so level can ONLY be read correctly once engine fully warmed up a few secs AFTER switching off, as per manual. This may be what's tripping you up?

Thats what I am doing checking the level immediatley after stopping the engine. There seems to be oil showing on the dipstick when cold but after running the engine nothing

so checked the oil again the same way this morning and now its back at max ?????

Found the reason for the stuttering a small nick in one of the ht leads. In for its 12k service so added some magnecour ht leads to the list of things to do.

Lets hope they found nothing majorly wrong !
