Apologies if this has been covered before (I've run a search on this & other SP6 related forums and there are no results for K&N), but has anyone fitted a K&N air filter and if so did it make any difference ?. Has anyone fitted any other filters that they would recommend. Also, does anyone know the K&N filter part/model number for the SP6 ?.

Thanks.

Isn't the housing for the air filter bespoke? Is there not more than one type of housing for the SP6 anyway?

The K&N doesn't fit properly as it has a hard rubber surround, K&N made us a sample. The only filters that fit properly are the foam ones , as the filter is so big there are no benefits from upgrading the filter.

To be honest, the newer Pipercross performance(red foam) filters are as good as you can get, anyway. They outperform cotton type filters, and are a damn site easie to clean imho!Take a look on the Pipercross website.
