Hi,

I was interested in this too so I have been in email contact with Keith Burgess from Clever Trevor who tells me that they are still going through durability testing for the SP6 Cam-cover (pre-lube) unit - 3 cars with them fitted as of end of Sept and no problems. Probably towards the end of October before they are ready to sell.

Raceproved have also developed the improved AJP SP6 Clutch assy and slave as shown on the Clever Trevor website - pricing is on there and they should have stock of the master assy any day now with slaves available towards the end of the month.

It's not to keep it coool but to supply oil to the rockers. There was a topic thread on this back in May. They said then that they would be ready in the summer. Could not wait so knocked up my own. - Looks like I would have been waiting a while.

I was told there could possibly be three versions, with the top one that does everything at £1800.

Think at that price it might put a lot of people off, but Keith said they were concerned about take up and obviously the more people buy the cheaper the unit price as they need to recoup their development costs.

Indeed, that's almost half the price of a rebuild for something that may or may not work.

If they are concerned about take-up then perhaps a lower, introductory price could be offered? This might encourage more people to buy/install it and help them cover their costs quicker.

That's what I thought, but you can see their dilemma. It all depends on how quick they have projected their break even point. This is the same with anything bespoke.

Like you say maybe an introductory discount might trump up some interest.

Yeah, I guess we'll see. I am waiting for a reply from Keith myself by email so will see how that pans out,

Cheers

They did mention that there could be three variations:

The full blown pre oiler version

The oil feed version

The cosmetic version

Gave up with Keith on e-mail so rang him. Guess they are pretty busy getting this business up and running.

DIY option

You can buy a factory cam cover for £200
High pressure and Electric oil pump and speed controller from Think Auto costs £300
Misc connectors, tubing etc to make twin internal spray bars £50

With a switch or timer relay can easily run in continuous or start up mode.

Sorted for £550.
