oil pressure

Hot day yesterday (obviously) engine fully up to heat.

Idle speed is about 800-900rpm. Oil pressure at this speed dropped to 7psi with accompanying beeping from the pod.

When revved gently (to about 3500rpm) it raised to about 28-30psi.

When the engine was cooler, at idle, it was showing around 20psi.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like the legendary Oil pressure sensor. I'm on my 4th... or is it 5th? I've lost count. Get is checked Fella.

how much are we talking for a pressure sender? presumably it's an off the shelf item? Part code/manufacturer? Easy to fit diy?
