Any ideas, I have a 2000 Tuscan which is driving perfectly, however when I got to Le Mans this year the idle speed started to occasionally drop below its usual 7000rpm down to 5000rpm..

It is duue a service in 2000miles and I was wondering if it was just something simple such as the throttle bodies or something perhaps that requires more immediate attention. It is now sitting at 5000rpm just about keeping from a stall. I haven't had chance to get her into TVR yet so any ideas welcome..

Thanks

Big Al.

do you mean 700 down to 500?

Wouln't worry mine dips to 500 occasionally at the mo.

If it's still like it next time I'm passing Fernies, I'll get um to tweak it.

Sounds along the right lines to me, and mine idles only a little more than that without concern. The times when I had real issues - cold weather especially - saw the engine down to 200 to 300 rpm and this was indeed diagnosed as throttle bodies needing adjustment. Should be done as part of your service anyway so would not worry unduly IMO.

Could be something simply or could be your valve clearances closing up. I would get it checked ASAP.
