VISUAL differences between a SP6 3.6 and 4.0L
Discussion
Well as i own both at the moment A 3.6 Tamora and a 4.0 Tuscan, i can only see a couple of thing on the ancillaries front.
The Tam 3.6 has electric PAS so does away with the pulleys and belts of a 4.0 Tuscan,
The oil tank and coolant header tank are different, apart from that i can`t see to much else,
the main engine it`s self looks identical.

From sometime in 2005 (at least since June when I visited the factory) the different motors are coloured:
3.6 is black
3.6 Red Rose is blue
4.0 is red
So which colour is a 400BHP "S" spec 4.0?
I didn't as ask I didn't know this engine variation existed direct from the factory. I only saw the three different colours when I was there and was told about the three different colours. I'm assuming all 4.0's are red. You're best bet to find out for sure is to phone the factory or an authorised dealer as 99.9% of whats posted on Pistonheads is hearsay and conjecture with little to no fact or substance.

I was advised in June last year
3.6 is black,
4.0 is blue
4.0S is red.....unless of course you asked for something else

Interesting. My 3.6 RR is blue, not black. Maybe I actually have a 4.0 then? Strange that the factory told us two different colour schemes, especially considering we we're both at there in June of last year.

So *you* say, but how much of that is conjecture?
Into and walked
Theres NO differences between the engines apart from engine internals, stroke etc.
The blocks are the same castings.
My 2p worth plus conjecture minus the substance
