Whats the update on the TVRCraft supercharged tuscan?

Now then Ash
Rods and pistons are due soon....expect to get it on the road March when I am next back in UK.....can't wait. My aim is, by going the Autocraft full engine mods route, to prove the many S6 doubters wrong... This motor if put together properly will kick out serious power figures and remain reliable, so far looks like I am the only one willing to put my faith/money into it....
Regards n a happy New Year to all you TIV lovers

Perhaps a drag race with the LS Chimaera is in order when it's completely and run in?
I'd certainly pay to see that given the comments made on here about the s6 (and it seems any other none converted, slow TVRs).

Nothing quite beats holding a wild byatch by the reigns and then shoving a blower up its arse... The speed 6 is a very capable engine indeed, this build will prove it... and I cant bloody wait, hope you hold an open invite so we can all come down and see the engine bay in the flesh!!!!
D-jay he's not doing this build for drag-racing, its just for personal use and fun... but I do remember him saying he'll be developing his skills on the track to learn to harness the extra horses... so we could see some spectacular flyby's down the straights

Ash how's the 1000bhp project going-and when do you sleep?
Its took me a little while (the same thing about his sleep pattern puzzeled me) then I realised he must live in a different time zone.
Ash will travel time itself when he unleashes his 1000bhp Cerb onto the streets....

I move around a lot, Beijing, Cali, New Zealand.... today I'm in beds.... come to think of it, only my wallpaper changes to match the scenary... oh what the heck, its better than nothing.... yup, must get some sleep, but these days its near impossible to hit the sack, just cant get any shut-eye... the booze ain helping, thats for sure....
Hi Ash
Last spoke with Dave around a couple weeks ago Craft were still waiting on the rods and pistons from Carrillo, JE and the new design finger followers are also due to arrive soon. I doubt it will be road ready for March tho, more likely to be sometime soon after. I wont be home again until May when I will be UK based for a few months commuting to St Neots so thats when I really want it back.
Looking at booking a track day at Croft for July with TVR dealership HHC, its mainly aimed at TVR's and Nobles and will be a mid week affair.
How about the star ship Phoenix...?
Regards
G

I hear your custom rods have turned up!!!!????
Looks like your beast will be out the door pretty soon now....
Yep, tis great news indeed Ash, Dave emailed me the other day to let me know. I think that just leaves the custom clutch assembly to arrive but at least they now have the parts to rebuild the engine.....I cant wait...
Very soon there will be a few TVRCraft fully sorted S6 motors on the road...

Cant wait mate! I just wanna hear your baby start up, I'm gonna make an effort to be there when she first fires up!!!
so the majority were waiting for the new stock of custom parts to turn up then.
Looks like all you speed sixers are a higher priority than me
oh well looks like I'll be thashing my gas-guzzling jap grannie around for another year then... although I do like that new 300C from Chrysler with the Hemi under the hood.
Ash It would be a pleasure to meet you. It was your original post around a year ago that brought to my attention the services of TVRCraft, for that I owe you a pint at least.
I have to say you could be driving around in something worse than a 3000GT while the phoenix awaits her rebirth.......like a 1.2 Corsa.....my wifes motor is what I use when I am home....now thats sad. I have promised her a replacement car later in the year....something a little more respectable me thinks....
Take Care bud

Hi Graham,
What sort of BHP do you reckon you will get with the supercharged engine??
Good on you for doing it!
cheers
Whitey
Hi Whity,
Dave and Alistair are aiming at a figure of 550bhp running 6psi boost, so it will be interesting to see the outcome. Should be good for drifting...!!!

Did your fuel system require any form of upgrade, such as injectors, pump, pressure regulator, remapping etc? Did you have to lower the compression ratio? I understand that with these vortex superchargers do not necessarily require screwing with the compression ratio, provided you keep the boost low.
The reasont that I ask is that supercharging/turbo charging is relatively safe until you start mucking around with bigger injectors, then everything has a tendency to go to rat shit. IME it either grenades or becomes horribley undrivable.
If it is possible to supercharge, whilst maintaining the same compression ratio and with no requirement to change the size of injectors then I'd be very interested.
As an aside does anyone know the injector size in the 4.0S engine, and at what capacity the current injectors are flowing, or what they currently flow at max load, and what their maximum flow rate is. Personally I prefer not to have injectors flowing at more than 80% because they become less efficient close to maximum flow.
