Who uses what oil and what consumption?
Discussion
Whatever Peninsula used at the 12k service.
Supposedly a Full synthetic but I don't know what grade, I figure a bit thicker now than at the 6k service as the hot idle oil pressure went from 12psi to 19psi.
I have never had to add any oil between services, even with a couple of track days thrown in.

I have had four types of oil in mine in the past 5 years and 27K + miles.
0-6K miles Castrol GTX used 2 litres in 6K miles.3kmiles/litre
6k-10K miles Mobil 1 0W40 as recomended in the handbook used 6 litres of this in 4K miles also difficult to get an oil level reading.660 miles/litre
10-20K miles Castrol RS10W60 recomended by TMS/factory.800 miles/litre.
At 20K miles cylinder head to 2004 spec did not need to run engine in again and re-filled with Castrol RS10W60 used this until 23K miles & only added just over 1 litre.2700 miles/litre.
23-27K miles switched to Castrol Magnetec 10W40 as advised bt TVR Power. I have no added any oil since the service & it is still 3/4 way up the dipstick.

There was a thread on this just recently, and, yes there do seem to be several opinions for each oil recommended.
My own preference is for the semi-synthetic version of mobil 1 (15w50).
