Engine cutting out...
Discussion
Hope someone can help as this has stumped my dealer and the guys at the factory
T350c starts from cold every time, drives perfectly until the engine has warmed up and have stopped at traffic lights/jam - after 5-10 mins of idling the engine will just cut out and will not restart (Engine turns but just will not catch - so does not seem to be battery)
After leaving the car for 20-30mins starts again and drives as usual
Possible problems:
Overheating Fuse box
Overheating ECU
Immobiliser
Unfortunately when the car was at the dealers it would not cut out,so they found it difficult to determine the problem, soon as I picked it up and drove home it cut out on my drive after 5 min of idling
Any help would be much appreciated.

There are lots of possible causes, and you need to either track it down methodically or replace the entire engine management system bit by bit until the problem goes away. I recommend the first approach. This job is much much easier if you can find a way to reproduce the problem. Then start looking for obvious symptoms: does the rev counter continue to show the engine rpm as the engine dies and while you are cranking it over subsequently; does the fuel pump run as normal when you try to restart. Do you have a spark? Are the injectors firing? (You can buy a passive strobe light that fits inline with an HT lead, and NOID test lights that show when the injectors are firing, to help with this diagnosis.)
