How to torque the Head Gasket?
Discussion
Hello everyone,
Let me quickly introduce myself: I'm French and I own a Tuscan S Mk2 LHD.
I had the engine rebuilt due to water consumption, but after rebuilding, the head gasket failed.
My mechanic followed the torque specifications described in the Sagaris workshop, and the head gasket I purchased was the Motaclan RGL version.
I've seen in various posts that some of you use a different torque setting, first tightening to 85 ft-lbs, then waiting a few hours, and finally re-tightening to 85 ft-lbs.
What is the correct sequence for tightening the head gasket on the Speed Six?
Thank you for your help.
