Rear Temperature Sender Unit.

I seem to have lost both fans since the last drive, so I am suspecting the sender unit which I replaced about three years ago has failed once more. I am a bit surprised the "new" one has failed again, but this fact is what drives my post.

I am wondering if anyone knows what these units actually are behind all the obscure numbering on various independent websites?

I thought these engines use, a Negative Temperature Co-efficient 0280.130.026 item.
"NTC M12"??

I want to make sure that I am fitting the best possible item in the hope that I can avoid it failing a third time on me and so this the reason for my query.
