Hi !
It depends on the kind of connection you have on the ECU. Some have a normal 9 pin serial connection inside the ECU and others have a 3 pin connection on a wire close to the ECU. For the first version you will find a diagram in the old software zip-file. If you have the later connection you can buy a cable from Clever Trevor, this cable works with both connections, so if you are not sure of how to make a cable i recommend you to by the one from Clever Trevor.

a 3 pin plug can be bought from tvr car parts for about £5 and a 9pin cable is about the same from Maplins

Hi !
Tried the newer software on my car yesterday. I had a error message coming up when i started the software that told me that one file was missing. Seems to be for just the ECU version(MBE94130116)that I have in my car.
If you copy and rename the file "9410035A.RTV" to "9410116A.RTV" the software works perfect even with a Cerb S6 that has an upgraded version of the ECU. It seems as the version i have on my ECU is the same as on newer S6. I saw in a topic that the same version of the ECU is in a Tuscan S conv from 2006, so it is probably the last ECU version for the S6 that left the factory.
Since my car is a 1999, i think my ECU was upgraded when the engine was rebuilt in aug 2005.
Last sunday I was out for a drive in my car for the first time since it was stored for the winter, it was 15 degrees warm and the sun was shining from a blue sky. Today it is snowing, I really hope this is the last snow we will see for this winter , or is it spring .

Try this for the ecu connection, plus a wealth of other stuff:

There appears to be two types. Anyone know which one I should buy for an 03' Tam? In addition where is the plug located in the car?

Hi !
I don´t know where the ECU is in a Tamora, in the Cerbera it is in front of the passenger footwell. When You find the ECU, you should look at the cables coming out from the ECU, there are two versions.
One with a big cable and one smaller cable that has a 2 pin connector on it, this version has the 9 pin laptop connector inside the ECU. The 2 pin connector is for a fault code reader.
The second version has one big cable and two smaller cables coming out from the ECU, the smaller cables are one with 2 pin connector and the other with a 3 pin connector. The 3 pin connector is the connection for the laptop on this version.
I think you should ask the guys on the Tamora forum if they know where the ECU is in your car.

Could someone who has the setup working please confirm what the pin number mapping is for the 9 to 3 pin serial lead? There seems to be conflicting info on the various threads so don´t want to risk it.
I could do with getting this up and running asap as I think I have a mixture issue on one bank.
Thanks.

The 3 pin plug came from one of my old window encoders, as I had to replace both recently. I bought a 9 pin serial cable from Maplins for 2 quid and the mapping is:
Serial 3 to ECU 1
Serial 2 to ECU 2
Serial 5 to ECU 3
After messing about with the laptop settings a bit, and disabling the infra red as it was using com1, it works ok.
