The topic of 10%ethanol in fuel affecting hoses has been well covered. But does anyone know whether the Speed Six engine will be OK running on this fuel?
btw I found a UK source for Gates Barricade fuel hose at a nissan aftermarket site

PTFE braided hose. Had one made to length and pulled it through the gap between body and chassis, reckon to be sure the return needs doing as well along with the others hoses although not got round to it yet. Rebuild due for upgrade so they will be done on the list.
Not sure about the injector seals, think the O rings are just nitrile.
Is the % of ethanol varied by region? I ask as West Country fuel smells nicer than London juice. Anyone in the know on this....

Part of the question was about whether E10 would have the same combustion properties as standard petrol?
I found out it can also corrode metal though not sure if this can affect the engine.
So from my further reading E10 at least in the early days will be ‘optional’. It is only 95 octane and so I guess we will all be heading for the super unleaded pump.
One consequence could be that as it becomes a niche product, the price of super will be ratcheted up.........
