EFI warning on but no longer a fault
Discussion
Simon, the warning - EFI - covers a number of different permutations.
You need to get a laptop hooked up with the diagnostics and see what fault codes are shown.
EvoOli on here has produced a downloadable diagnostics compatible with Windows8 and on.

Do you think my oil pressure sending being faulty and showing 99psi would bring the efi warning onYou need to get a laptop hooked up with the diagnostics and see what fault codes are shown.

Therefore, with 99 psi I'd assume you'd have no fault indicated??
Just be aware that several posters on here have reported problems with failing engine looms. The internal conductors of the wiring become corroded and/or brittle through water ingress/age/heat cycling.
It might be worth getting a mate around and with the engine running 'wiggling' the loom/connections to the various sensors and see if the EFI indication goes out??.....BUT running the diagnostics will home you in on sensor issues (Crank position, lambdas, air temp, coolant temp).

After we changed the tps, the car cleared its running fault but efi still came on. The loom sounds like a good shout.
Hi Simon....
OK, to me that indicates an issue with wiring to one of the sensors/or sensor itself (as per my previous) or something not quite right with the ECU.
Think you've got to get it on the diagnostics....and the graphical data analysed by someone who knows what they're doing

Nick makes a good point re the loom, and to be honest I don't recall it being mentioned on here before but may have missed it.
Just a word of warning though. In an effort to get to the bottom of a minor but annoying running issue I had my loom changed a couple of weeks ago and it made the car almost undriveable. As soon as the old one was put back on all was back to normal. I won't name the supplier until they've had a chance to respond. If not satisfactory and I find the time I am going to look at getting one purpose made but expect that to be quite pricey.
