FFF Cylinderhead delivery time
Discussion
Hello Carsten,
Who have you spoken to a RG/tvr parts. The fff is unique in the market place and completely bespoke. The head casting is machined by Simon Armstrong of ultimate performance, who is one of the top in his field having worked in F1.
That being the case It does mean acquiring a fff head take some time. They aren't say on the shelf. Mine took approximately 12 weeks, it is frustrating and I phoned the chaps there many times (annoying them) for updates, but like I say it is bespoke and there is nothing else like it. Oh and it was worth the wait and Id do it all over again!

Hello Matty,
as I already wait twice as long as You did I'm not sure anymore if it was the right decision. I hope it will come to an good end as soon as possible. Would be interesting if there is anybody else out there who is also waiting for the FFF 2 and if so how long they are already waiting.
Has anybody expiriences with the Stage 3 Head from RND ?

Carsten I checked my notes and it was infact 16 weeks I waited. But again would do it all over again as its in a completely different league. The heads cnc'd so everything in terms of porting and volumes is beyond the accuracy of any man and a die grinder.
Beyond that you have the additional benefits of increased oil pressure. At hot idle I see just over 30psi and pressing on around 90psi (real production car oil pressure) again that's impossible to achieve with the standard head. I'd hang in there for it.
Oh and if Carlsberg did cylinder heads for TVR's, they'd do them like the fff
