Anyone had their cylinder head ported 7 polished
Discussion
Just wondered if it's worth having the head ported and polished at some point:

I know that it makes quite a difference to the K-Series 4 pot, but what gains, if any, could be had from this for a S6?
Cheers.

Go for it. Add approximately £1500 to that price to take your engine out remove the head and put the engine back. http://www.powersperformance.co.uk/store/slug/port...

The head on the t350r race car is ported* (standard valves). To be honest I don't think it's made a blind bit of difference. I just did it because the head was off the engine anyway and I had an afternoon free ..
- by that I mean taking the rough edges off it without changing the shape of the port. Without access to a flow bench you shouldn't go hacking out metal where you don't need to ..
