Starter ring gear

Hi Graham
The ring is a separate part. Took mine off with some heat and cold chisel to see if it had any markings. Nope !
Reckon it must have been a tiv special
very skinny profile, deep teeth and any bigger than about 281 mm and it will foul the bell housing.
Dont know what rg do for their recon unit if the gear needs replacing???
Tried a ford xflow unit...correct id but too big od

Got nagged for talking about cars when I was supposed to be with her indoors, still I didn't notice her hair had been done or the new dress she had bought or the fact she had been on a diet for three weeks so this was a minor moan in the scheme of things... amazes me she knows I when I buy a new part for the car despite paying cash, sneaking past the customs control at the front gate and hiding it in the garage...
