Is it the same bloke who holds rights to some of the Marcos engineering and design stuff? Runs a company locally to me...
If not, then guessing it would probably be Les (buying everything from NS)...
However, I'm only guessing.

I beleive Jim is reffering to the Melling Consultancy design prints..
Not sure why people are being evasive here.
Dave Davis of RND owns the design rights/IP to the AJP6, as correctly stated above he bought them from Al Melling's consultancy company. He owns the electronic CAD drawings so they are classed as original, prints are irrelevant, I have some of the CAD drawings so could print them out but that wouldn't mean I owned the IP. I've seen a bill of sale.
The Speed 6 whilst not being exactly the same is a different design so I assume those rights are still held by TVR and I'd suggest creates a grey area, but no different from the situation when they were in production.
The court case 'failed' as the party being sued managed to bury the plaintiff in court procedures ensuring that the money ran out preventing the action to proceed further, the case wasn't lost.
The fact that the basis of the claim remains on a publicly accessible website suggests that the claim was valid in law as if it was untrue there would have been a court order to remove the claim and the details of the action. I'm sure many of us have seen the parts in question with the area containing the original manufacturers name ground out

So why does this affect one company, and not another? We all know companies who stock, maintain and sell the S6.... Or is this to do with this filed down area? (Honest question)
It does smack of a patent troll tactic. Oh, and are you sure that the case didn't reach court?

Answering the previous question, the IP was bought with a view to producing the parts and indeed have been used for that purpose. It does smack of a patent troll tactic. Oh, and are you sure that the case didn't reach court?
Nothing to do with patent trolling it was a case of one company acquiring a stock of physical parts manufactured by one company and then passing them off as their own by grinding the other companies name off.
It did get to court but as previously mentioned it was effectively brought to an end by using 'tactics' to prolong the case and so increase the plaintiff's costs.
