I'm going to be servicing the car myself soon with the help of a competent TVR owner (as I don't trust the local garages in Sydney).

Does anyone have a link to a decent shim kit, as they must be a fairly generic item (without the TVR tax) and that I might be able to obtain locally.

I heard that they are the same as used on some motorcycles?

+1. I've been using that kit for a couple of years. No problems with the shims yet, unlike a couple of the og TVR supplied ones I've had collapse.

Thanks, what about the gasket? I can only find one on the RG website, not from Power?

As standard the cam cover is sealed on with silicone. Gaskets are available as a mod but I've heard mixed reports about their longevity.
