Has anyone notified the DVLA of the engine capacity change(3.6 or 4 litre) ?

I just wondered if they made any comments about CO2 emmissions and reclassification... I fought very hard to get mine corrected to a PLG and I do not wish to go through the hasle again.

Checked a few and I cannot find anyone who has a changed DVLA record.

Strangely I notice that both Doms Sag 5.0 litre (S6 TVR) and RGs Tuscan vert 4 litre FFF (S55GCL) are both incorrectly registered with the DVLA and have CO2 g/Km figures so Petrol Cars and not Private Light Goods Vehicles so they both pay 50 quid too much smile .

It seems an easy process to do. I was looking at it over the weekend for another car.

Just use the VC5 and send them a copy of the receipt for the work done. The TVRs are low production cars, so I thought had the usual exemptions.

I just want to make sure I do not lose my "Ministers Approval" classification... I was hoping someone else was a "test case" smile .

Changed my V5. Engine capacity now 7000cc. No C02 reading. Annual tax still £220. wink

Yep, I have - took a while, but did it. Technically makes your insurance invalid if you don't declare, and you know how weasely they are.

Surprised at that, since I have notified the insurance of the change and paid for it smile . But as you say any excuse, best do it today.

Put it this way. In the 'shed' and 'horrors in the classifieds' threads, we sit there and laugh at the idiots who put a 1.6 engine in place of a 1.0, and proudly state that they haven't told DVLA.

Why would anyone want to be that idiot?

The V5C does say to notify them of any change....I sent mine off ("signed for delivery") two weeks ago , I know they have it..But not heard anything yet.

Oh ... stands back in amazement.... just checked the DVLA site and they have done it... I am impressed ...2 weeks must be a record ..Well Done...
