2004 rebuild by Castle

The Tuscan S I purchased last year had rebuild by Castle TVR in 2004. Not that it has any problems now but is this worth something or should it be considered the same as the early TVR rebuilds ?
Doubt Castle did the re-build themselves, I would guess it was sent to Power or maybe back to the factory?. If it was Power I am sure it was spot on. Can't comment on the factory stuff but I guess it should be just as good.RedSpike66 said:
That's two interesting statements... care to elaborate ??
Faults can always happen, also when the rebuild was done by one of the "big" experienced ones. The question is more, how the company handles problems after the warranty ? Some definitly do better than others, and my 2nd was done by an other company. The quality of the rebuild is reflected by the warranty they give. If there is no or only a short warranty, I would consider it as if there was no rebuild at all. You might be lucky with a 50/50 chance.

Who did you choose for your 2nd rebuils and why if you dont mind me asking? Confident its any better - did you spec it differently? The quality of the rebuild is reflected by the warranty they give. Ok...wish I hadn't read this thread! Had my engine rebuilt by Jason last year after reading a lot and from advice so disappointed to hear of failures after only a few years?
Would the recent rebuilds from Jason, power, etc be different from those in 2007?
How hard can it to rebuild a engine!
OP - hope you find out what you need to know.

Let's be fair, no one is perfect and when anything is done by a human mistakes are always a possibility. As long as companies are willing to honor their waranties then that is all that should matter.
I've had engines rebuilt in the past and once or twice niggles had to be sorted out and they were good companies as well - not TVR related.

My post read wrong im sorry, i am very confident that Str8 six offers excellent rebuilds, but i am keen to know why Crypto believes that his next rebuild will be any better and why he went elsewhere. Accepting that these are mechanical things with engineering tolerances, Zero problems is an unreachable utopia, it is how you are dealt with if there are problems which is also important.
