Any one used a emerald ECU?
Discussion
We use one on the race t350 .. excellent piece of kit (I keep one in stock) but unless you have particular requirements of an aftermarket ecu then the std MBE does what you need really as it's mappable anyway. Aftermarket ECUs get you other features like 3 maps, traction control etc etc but there's no cheaper ecu than the one you already own as I tell people. Don't underestimate the cost of fitting and mapping from scratch. However some people like to tinker, and if you're on a programme of enhancements that requires remaps at every point then remapping an emerald will see you quickly back in credit compared to MBE remapping. There's pros and cons and it really depends on the customer's requirements, there's no one set reply to the question as such.
there is for the single plug version of the mbe used in the cerbera and very early tuscan cars and cerb sp6, but nothing for the later 3 plug mbe versions, though you could always make one. simtek sell the plugs I think then all you need is a few long cold dark evenings to sit at the kitchen table putting it together.

I am looking all over the internet to find a way how I can map my stock MBE ecu. Easimaps wont show me the right info and I have no clue how the correctly read the hex or bin file from my mbe chip. Can you help me around? I know well what I am doing bus missing the right adres values were maps are stored. Winols helps me a bit but I am not sure. Diederik
