I will order a cable today. I've seen the software here, do I download each and every one?

Just changed the themostat for a 74c one. It hasn't made any difference and the car is still showing between 92 and 104. Could it be the coolant sensor?
Mine has just started doing the same. I replaced a thermostat a while ago (well, RG did it for me) that was stopping the fans from turning on.
This time, the temperature doesn't seem to go about 104, but even when it does, it then drops back to about 94ish quickly afterwards.
As far as I know, the fans are working correctly.

What are the symptoms? Is it displaying odd temps but engine & fans seem ok or other way round?
Yes, odd temps but engine and fans seem fine. It runs at between 91 and 94 on the move but when stationary slowly creeps up. It got to 110 yesterday when I let it idle at home after a run. I switched it off sharpish! I've ordered a new coolant sensor anyway.S6 Devil said:

Jusr below the title (TuscanDiagnosticSoftware.zip) you should see 'File Edit View Help'https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B4pzeL_TBDYeNTFiNz...
Click on 'File' and select 'download' (bottom link). That will get you the zip file onto your computer, simply uncompress into a suitable folder and run as it stands (IIRC).

Great, thanks.
remember it doesnt run on post vista machines....i had to create a virutal box and run win 2000 pro to get the software working and the serial / usb convertor working
Let us know how you get on, PITA having changed the stat and not seen an improvement, hopefully its just a readout delta and the ECU shows different values...

Yes it runs on XP.
Thanks. Any feedback on the answer to your earlier question about the symptoms."Yes, odd temps but engine and fans seem fine. It runs at between 91 and 94 on the move but when stationary slowly creeps up. It got to 110 yesterday when I let it idle at home after a run. I switched it off sharpish!"
Changing the thermostat for a lower temp one won't change the ultimate running temp of the engine, just help heat the oil sooner.
Change the sensor, make sure BOTH the fans work and turn on, check for hose leaks, if it's still over 100 regularly , change the radiator! simple.
Anything else is a waste of time, spent months working this out with my T350 and it scolded a layer of skin off my face by blowing a hose in my face while at 90C.
