I have had the t350 for nearly 2 years, Its always been a weekend toy but this summer has been wet, there are now three in the Mr Rom house and as I work away in the week its down to me to cover the weekends. Every one says the speed six needs to used (600miles this year) but I can not this year or the next do you think I will be damaging it? and whats the best way forward?

2005 car with 17k on it.

Don't worry, just get the car serviced every year no matter the milage and all will be fine.

People with high milage cars will tell you "it's bad not to use it."
People with low milage cars will tell you "high milage cars are worse."

Neither are correct, it's all about regular maintenance.

Hi,

I have the same problem.

Too many cars and also the T350c is only ever out on the road between May/June and September/October and only did 800 miles last year, 600 of which was to take it down south to TrackVroad for it's service, and has only completed 200 miles so far this year.

2003 with only 7300 miles!!

Just make sure it gets some long trips, not just popping out for milk.

I never take it out to the shops its a tight fit in the drive, thanks a lot. I get it serviced at Track v Road they look after it very well. All ways warmed up past 50 deg C before any right boot and next year I am working out the country March to Aug so not that many miles.

I don't do the miles in the Sag I did in the T350, simply because I don;t want to put 100k on it and it be worth a lot, lot less than others, but I'm still averaging 7k/annum, cos I love driving it.. but no salty roads and no 5 mile journeys.

I definitely think they like being used more than not, but if you're looking after it, servicing etc., longish (1hr, 2hr+) trips out, it'll be fine. It's just a shame you can;t get your smiles per mile with it. I hate it when I can't drive it for a few days/weeks.

Sorry but why would you service a car thats done a couple of hundred miles ? Assuming its stored properly when not in use..

Because the fluids and rubbers deteriorate, and buyers will be put off by the gap in history.

Laying a car up and not using it with out servicing is a terrible thing to do. Just look at that sp6 Cerb with 970 miles on the clock that was hardly touched since new, The thing is fuel off issues now.
