Here is the explanation from: http://www.mytuscan.co.uk/

E - Fuel level sensor not activating zero switch

What I'm wondering though is what it means, what's the zero switch ? Should I be worried ? What can I do to fix it ?

Thanks a lot guys.

Jonathan analogue fuel gauge at the bottom of the instrument pod has a micro switch the moving plate hits when you switch on the ignition and this initialises it is not seeing the zero (empty) switch when it goes through this sequence as I I understand it nothing to worry about. Try it again tomorrow the fault will probably have gone

When I standstill the fat is there but as soon as I drive it disappears... I can see how much fuel I have left so I don't understand why the error.
