uprated engine mounts?
Discussion
Don't read sprint so I can't comment on them, but I'm been using uprated engine mounts now for the last year and they are still fine. From what I was told they can withstand a fair amount more heat and punishment, the trade off is you feel the engine vibrate the car a lot more but only when cold (at idle rev's) - noticed nothing else.
Interesting as Str8six just took a set of SC power ones of mine that had completely failed and re-fitted a new set of originals!
I posted a picture of the mounts about a month ago in the Sag,350 forum as i was shocked at how bad they had failed!
I had done a very hot day at Spa with some high under bonnet temps but nothing else out of the usual!

I tried something on my Tuscan that seems to reduce engine mount temperature and thus far failure:

It may, as long as you fit a heat soak indeed. Coating by istelf won't help in the long run, only in the transient phases.
For my part, I found that the highest temps where reached in traffic, or after stopping the engine (even with a cool-down run). I think that's when the heat soak will play its biggest role
