I'm having a little bit of trouble with my throttle. The car had a stretched and frayed throttle cable,so I bought a new one from RG and fitted it. But the throttle still sticks sometimes after light throttle. The hotter the car gets the more frequently it'll stick. The new cable has done about 300 miles on the car. I've oiled the cable and all pivots in the pedal box. Also I've made sure all points of fiction have a smooth surface and greased. It's doesn't stick badly but it enough to irritate. I'm currently thinking of fitting a stronger/new return spring, as I wouldn't mind if the throttle was a little heavier.

So has anyone suffered this and have any suggestion I could try. If a stronger spring is needed where do you think I could get one of these. I would think it would need to be the same size as when on full throttle the spring is completely compressed.

I've suffered this but the servicer took car of it, mine would stick on hard throttle when warm but as far as I know he didn't fit anything - rather adjusted / greased the system (and that was 3 years ago, and no issues)

Mine was sticking, turned out to be the engine end of the cable, the last couple of inch is a rod rather than a cable and it wasn't lined up with the outer cable end.I adjusted (bent) the bracket slightly to line it up,now all is ok.
