Having owned the Tuscan for nearly a year, and having now perfected the black art of removing the main bonnet, i have a question to ask.

Written on what can only be described as a strip of masking tape, stuck to the offside wheel arch cover is the following script " MIL 74 " .

Does this mean anything to anyone ? or can i just rip it off and tidy up the engine bay.

I believe it is the age at which you can no longer take your Mother In Law for a ride in the car smile. This ages is calculated individually for each Tuscan based on its actual BHP, paint colour and owner risk profile. smile

Sorry.

I understand that it is a redundant plug from the donor vauxhall loom. Personally I would just tied it back to the loom rather than remove it.

Have I missed a post? confused

Where did the mention of a plug come into this?

Op are you saying its just a piece of tape stuck in the bay, under the bonnet?

If so, why not just record what it says and where it was placed then rip the bugger off! laugh

As an educated guess I would say this is a measurment reminder, either paint thickness (has the car had a paint repair ?)or a general dimension.
