Had the air box off yesterday just having a general route around and found a plug connector dangling at the back of the engine with 'cam sensor' on it. Should it be plugged in or is it for service/timing set up etc??

Any help would much appreciated

Cheers

That's one of several plugs that don't have any use on the standard speed six setup. I think the factory had planned to add further functionality into the loom at a later date, so added these features from the outset.

I think the plug connectors are from a vauxhall omega, and as has been said there are a number of them that are unconnected.

two more in the nose for the lights and one under the dash behind the relay splice as well. I put red tape round all the connectors that were not connected so I can ignore them. Plenty more, some have the tags on them like the knock sensors
