What oil temps are the highest you see?
Discussion
Spoke to two people today one being someone who needs to be listened to for an important reason and was told two totally different temps. One said 120-130 at a max which sounds really high to me.
The other said 95deg max oil temp and any higher may cause problems and if i see this then a seperate oil cooler should be used and mobil 1 oil.
Now 95 sounds really really low for max temps but if i need to fit a cooler then i will.

I would think more like:-
120-130 degC for max Water Temp in real high ambient harsh track use.
Max Oil Temp same conditions as above 108degC
Normal condtions
max water 105, & oil 95

Mine rarely get that high. Average water temp when hot is 90 and oil about 85-90. Only if it idles after a long fast run does it get as hot as 105 and 95120-130 degC for max Water Temp in real high ambient harsh track use.

I wouldn't worry about occasional 120-130°C oil temps.
In our test cells we run 105±3°C (coolant temp) and 125±5°C (oil temp) on durab. tests (standard 5W30 oil) for 100 hours between changes (in 5-20 hour blocks) and we have never seen a problem.
Some of these are 1100 hour tests.
The same oil has even seen 150°C in 'exceptional' cycles for 1 hour (@ max power) without incident.
