I need new cats for my Cerb SP6, both are bad. I have been looking around for prices on cats and found out that they are a lot cheaper on ebay than at any TVR parts dealer.
Does someone have expirence of buying cats from ebay?
The prices are half of what the TVR dealers ask for the cats and my thoughts are that there wouldn´t be many factories that make them, so probably all cats are made at the same place.

I did buy a pair of cats for the Tuscan on ebay.
As they did not fit properly, some altering of the connections to the exhaust system was needed. If you would have to pay someone for the altering, you probably would not save as much as thought.
Sadly the cats did not last longer than 500 miles and we were lucky that the engine was not hurt.
But, I do not know if its a fault of the cats, as some Speed 6es are eating cats, and ours seems to be one of them.
Anyone knows the reason for the Speed 6 cats consumption and what could be done?

I wouldn't buy the ebay ones, you get what you pay for. I would buy these if still available.

I wouldn't buy the ebay ones to use constantly, but as an MOT swap in swap out option they are ok.
