I'm rebuilding my 4.0l 2000 Tuscan Engine. Never ran her as bought a CAT D and thought it would be best to strip \nd check before running. She had sat for 19 months so better safe than sorry.

On the inspection I found the clutch was worn out and the cam had one lobe with signs of wear and one follower with a score matching that of the lobe. The cam bearings had numbers on them, so I'm assuming its been done before, but as yet no information from TVR power. Am chasing up the previous owners. SO if anyone knows someone whoes owned W177 EOL / K10 BHP please point them in my direction.

Thanks, and here's the vid of my cam:

Yeh, RG pointed out that these lines were a bit of a mistery and had been seen, even on some of the rebuild engines.

To be honest, I don't know who to believe, which makes rebuilding it yourself and not having a warantee a tricky one. Dom at Power has said he will guarantee the parts if I rebuild myself, so that's good enough for me. An assembled head for £1700+vat it is then!

Just have to wait for Dom to get back from hols..... wink
