Oil Pressure Sender

I think the oil pressure sender feed is taken after the oil is filtered.. so a very clogged oil filter (let's ingnore the bypass valve) would show a lower reading than an unclogged one?

Is this correct?

So i guess theoretically the answer is yes
But....really????
More likely something else
Is the sender leaking? They are pretty crude giving only approx indication esp if leaking
Many other (worse) possible causes but lets start optimistic
