Just curious as to what you guys do about no Super Unleaded being available in Ireland? Don't fancy running my car on 95occ when it should be at least 97. Any solutions????

You're right, absolutly no 98 UL here. Porsche advise not to use octane booster or additives and also say that the ECU will reset itself to accept 95 UL. IMHO 95 UL will do but with some loss of power / efficiency. All Irish Porsche owners have been using only 95 UL for the past 10 yrs almost.

That's not available in may places though.

There was talk of it being discontinued at one stage.

If you can get your car remapped to run on the 95 then do.

There are a few places selling SULP. Maxol on the road from Letterkenny to Derry, Service Stations around Omagh, Co. Tyrone. etc. Not sure on how many further south though.

I used to use Octane Booster in my 54 Reg STI Impeza - definitely noticed a difference on the sharpness of the power delivery. Never had any other ECU issues in teh 2.5 yrs I had it and used it.

There have been a good few discussions about this subject over on www.octane.ie and a quick search of the forums there should throw up the locations of what stations sell what fuels.

I thought all Topaz and Maxol Dealers were using E5 in their fuel now? That's 99 RON, AFAIK.
