Ireland Driving Adventure
Discussion
Hi everyone
I am resubmitting this as Pistonheads removed the post due to advertising rules. I assume they think I am trying to advertise a business, which I am not.
I am posting to invite members of Pistonheads along on a trip around Ireland later on this year.
I have previously organised one around Northern Ireland in 2008 and last year organised one around mainland Europe. Both trips turned out very successful with everyone having a great time.
This year the trip is taking in all of Ireland and the total mileage is approx 1100 miles. It lasts over 5 days with 4 overnight stops. The trip is strictly limited to 20 cars and already we have 14 confirmed, these consist of Lamborghini, Maserati, Porsche, TVR etc.
We are staying at some very nice hotels, however I do not want to give out details on a public forum. This is a non profit event and only cost will be for the hotels.
If you are interested, please PM me through my Pistonheads profile with your name, car details, email address and phone number so I can send you full details of the trip.
Here are a few images from previous trips

I am sorry if I have broken any PH rules. This is not a business and is only about a group of like minded people having a drive around Ireland. If there is anything PH is not happy with please let me know and I will fix it.

Just to update this post. We had a great time travelling around Ireland and were made very welcome and a big thanks to everyone that joined us. There is a thread with pictures and videos of the trip running here: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
Hi,
I've just started working in Athlone. I'll be here until the end of the year. I'm going to be bringing my Porsche 997 over in a couple of weeks. I'm hoping there will be a few good days (weatherwise) when I can enjoy the Irish countryside.
I guess most of these; Wexford, Youghal, Limerick, Galway, Donegal are do-able as a day trip. Can anyone recommend which roads to take please?
Thanks
Pav

Hi Pav,
Athlone is pretty much slap bang in the middle, so everywhere is accessible. Galway is about an hour down the motorway, Limerick a further hour and a half. There's some nice roads around Lough Derg http://g.co/maps/vjqfb
If you're around, Cars and Coffee Midlands is in Athlone next Sunday Morning:
