Insurance - Repairs Using Recycled & Non-Original Parts
Discussion
Hi
Just received my insurance renewal from Axa for my Porsche 996. They included a booklet containing amendments to their terms and conditions. Included in this was a new clause which allows them to repair the car in the event of damage using "recycled parts, where appropriate" or "parts that have not been made by the car's manufacturer, but are of a similar standard". Not sure I like the sound cheap copy parts or second hand parts being used to repair my car. Spoke to them and they told me this is now standard across all of their policies.
Does anyone know if this is standard practice across Irish insurers? Any recommendations on alternative insurers?
Cheers
