trouble with supra

ive just bought a 98 twin turbo manual rzs i went to the uk drove it home and when i went to start it again it just reved out right up to the speed red limit and each time i start it it does the same thing can anyone shed any light on this please any help would be apreciated

i kinda had the same problem with my mr2, it was a sensor(either throttle or boost) going into the inlet manifold, the boost had just been upped and had blown it clean out and the car was reving uncontrolably, it was quite funny was sitting at lights next to an old couple and the car was reving like crazy!! they didnt know what the hell was going on!!! if not id guess ur throttle is jammed open some how, im no mechanic so would'nt be certain try checkin the throttle cable in the engine bay an see if you can alter the revs by playin with it a bit.
