I've never driven Anglesea so on that front I can't do a compare and contrast for you, maybe others can help.
Been out a couple of times on Mondello International in the Clio and heading out again in a forthnight. Not the fastest of circuits. In the Clio I'm maybe only pushing 100-110mph at the fastest point, obviously more power will get you more. Quite technical track, lots of slow enough corners with late apex's and funny cambers. Probably not a track to feel like you've gotten the most out of it in a day due to some of the corners.
List of open dates are on their site. Some of the Lotus regulars on www.octane.iemay be able to get you out on one of the VIP days.

I took the elise to Anglesey and it was stunning (both the car and the track). Only pain was the price of the ferry! Ouch. Should've booked in advance. Great fun in the wet and dry, in fact the wet gave the tyres and brakes a rest as Anglesey in the dry is quite hard on both. Very much recommend it as a track for dubliners though, it's only 20 road miles away!
it's a great track for an elise - i've done 5 or 6 trackdays on the international (2.25 mile) this year in various lotus including my own exige. it would take a very fast car to see more than 120mph anywhere but it has some great corners so really suits a lotus. it takes a few laps and ideally some pointers on the lines to enjoy it fully.
While you at it Kirskistown is quite good. I prefer Mondello as it has more corners and is less of a power circuit. As above check out the track days organised at www.octane.ie loads of Lotus and TVR guys over there. The tracks days are great for no messing as most people know or know of each other.

Power doesn't do a whole lot for you in Mondello.
A car like an Elise will easily keep up to, and possibly ahead of, a lot of more powerful cars.
It was suggested over on Octane.ie that we think about a trip to Anglesea for a track day so it'll probably happen in '09 some time.
Abso-bloody-lutely JJ!A car like an Elise will easily keep up to, and possibly ahead of, a lot of more powerful cars.

Seriously though we'll have to do it.
TD-3 Anglesea
I like the sound of that.

I'll see if I can reignite the spark among the Octaners and see what happens.

Hi yawll, just joined your forum today march 8th. I'm the lucky owner of 2 misubishi VR4 legnums manuals, one for the track and the other as a runabout.
I've been known to frequent mondello park trackdays in the one with BOBCAT on the rear window.
hello there - i've seen the white bobcat and a dark coloured one on track a few times, there's a pretty impressive hiss when the white one is moving up through the gears .. i have it on some footage i took at the last trackday there, so loud it cuts through the noise of my own, even though the camera was inside.I've been known to frequent mondello park trackdays in the one with BOBCAT on the rear window.
