Calling Markomah!!

I'm too anal to post any piccies until it's had a good clean - one week and 800 miles through monsoon conditions and heavy roadworks can make even Seal Grey look grubby (it's starting to look like it's got a beige paint job from certain angles...).
Once it's had a bit of a scrub, I'll get a few shots and bore you all rigid.
The only difficulty is whenever the rain looks like it's easing up for an hour or so, I have two choices - break out the buckets and the sheeps-wool mitt, or grab the keys and take it for another spin...

Sorry, didn't mean to be enigmatic - dropped a few hints over on the Porsche forum.
It's a 2003 Porsche 996 Carrera 4S Cabriolet.
All the serious drivers over in Das Porker Forum are of the view that a soft-top can't be a _proper_ Porsche but shag 'em, I don't care, I love it!!!
Even if I can only put the roof down for 35 second intervals between monsoons

Cheers Dave!
I'm really enjoying getting to know the car, even if the roof is staying up. The past few nights I've put the kid to bed, parked herself in front of the television with a bottle of wine and jumped in the car and gone for a spin for an hour or so. Nothing too hectic, just a spin on quietish roads, getting a feel for the balance and handling of the car and what it likes and doesn't like. It's an excellent way of clearing your head after a rubbish day at work as well.
That said, I'm off to West Cork for a few days the week after next and a few days of sunshine would be just the ticket...
Photos will follow the next break in the weather.

Thanks for all the good wishes! Sorry for not replying sooner but I've been hooning about West Cork for the past 5 days. Thoroughly enjoyed myself and a sunny evening drive from Bantry over the mountain road to Schull has slotted into the number 2 position in my list of Greatest Drives Ever.
For anyone holidaying in tranquil West Cork whose peace was shattered on Monday by a PSE singing the happy song of a 3.6 kept strictly between 4,000 and 6,750 revs, my sincerest apologies
Back to the grindstone now...

P.S. Ballcock, the Radio 1 sign on the screen was placed there deliberately to detect anyone who's scrutinising these photos far too closely...
