Morning all,

I've decided to join Ballcock and Irish and put the Porker on the market. I've seen a couple of cars that I'm interested in in the U.K. which means I need a fistful of sweaty Sterling to negotiate a deal; trade-in obviously isn't an option. I've priced it at a fairly low level in the hope I might move it quickly.

I've advertised the car on Carzone.ie ( www.driving.ie/usedcars/index.cfm?fuseaction=car&carID=683916 ). I know the photos are crap and I'll impove these as soon as I find where my son has hidden the camera.

That aside, what do you guys think of the wording of the ad? Have I missed anything? What other information, if any, would keen petrolheads like yourselves want to know? Any comments or suggestions would be welcomed.

Thanks,

M

Firstly, oh no, not another one selling.......I was passed by a silver 996 driving back from Galway in the Clio at the weekend.....brought a tear to the eye.

Secondly, update the link

Hi Mark,

I think the only thing that is missing is: is it a C2 or C4?

(very reasonable price by the way)

Cheerio

Thanks guys, I appreciate the input! I've updated the link to erase forever the guilty secret of my Corolla ownership and I'll update the ad to show it's a C2.

Cheers,

M

Yep, sold (subject to PPI) to a very nice fellow PHer who'll give her the loving home (and occasional thrashing ) that she deserves.

The replacement will be another 996, probably a ragtop C2 (although I do have lustful yearnings for a '01 TT or two); I'll be scanning the ads with particular relish until I settle upon my new toy!!

Hi there. I'm the proud new owner of Mark's car. Picked it up this evening and just been for a great spin in it. Loving it so far.

Hope you find a great replacement Mark.

Now I just have to sell the 944S2 to help pay for it!

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did - the search is on for the replacement!!

Oh, and at the risk of this degenerating into a love-in, if anyone is interested in the 944S2, it's a beautiful-looking car spin
