Hotels around Magherafelt
Discussion
Hi,
I will be over at the end of October with the quattro owners club, for a tour round Ierland (north & south).
After the club tour I plan to stay on for a few days to visit some family, so I'll will be looking for a nice hotel around the Magherafelt area. Your input will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Hi Ian
If you want a good modern 4* with health club and golfing on tap then you could stay at the Templepatrick Hilton - although it is about 20-30 minutes away from Magherafelt - it's about halfway between Belfast and Magherafelt, and is just off the M2 motorway - would make a good base for touring around.
I'm sure there are some excellent smaller family-run hotels in and around Magherafelt as well.

Hi
If you want I can make some enquiries for you among friends from Magherafelt.
I would suggest a run from Larne up round the North East coast through Portrush/Portstewart and on to Magilligan, then over on the ferry (10mins) into Donegal to Greencastle/Moville and round the Inishowen Peninsula (stop at Malin Head - most Northerly point) then back through Londonderry and over the Glenshane Pass. Glorious scenery, good eating stops, cheap fuel and all can be done easily in a day with stops.

Thanks again for your help...The quattro club route is all ready set, and looks similar to what you mentioned. I'd rather not ask my relations to find a hotel. You know what family are like, they would want us to stay with them. A hotel is much more independant.
So please throw a few country hotel names this way!.....if they have a web site all the better.
Cheers
