Is there someone apart from Belgard Awfulplatz who will do a decent equivalent to X51 pack type upgrade on my '98 C2 cabrio?

Just thinking aloud really

Ming,

Another gratuitous chance to post a link to the X51 kit. A few Americans have had it retro-fitted but not sure of cost (£10K option new).

I'd post a link on the Porsche forum too.

A good question Ming .. I would love to find someone who could fit a porsche sports exhaust without me having to lose a kidney first .. The Porsche price is £1900 , including fitting the switch.

Hi Barney,

Hope you are well.

Save yourself the hassle and don't bother about the switch, most people never use it.

Any independent or local grease monkey will be able to fit it without the electronics man.
Take care,

JL

Ming , The Porsche exhaust is known as a 'switchable' exhaust , there's a switch fitted with wiring to the baffles on the sports exhaust so it can be switched loud or normal. It's not really necessary to fit the switch and Porsche charge about 7 hours labour rates to fit the wiring for the switch(note though that Porsche won't fit the exhaust without fitting the switch .. rolleyes)

If you're looking for a straight exhaust there's a guy just over the border up north fitting 'Remus' exhausts for around the tonne stg. I know I put his name on here a few months ago .. Search 'Remus' on this forum and you'll get all details .. He seemed like a good man from the phone conversations I had with him.
