This needed a thread all to itself! (We were Shanghai-ing the 'licence' thread anyway!)
First point of business ... Would anyone who has any experience of pimpin up their Porsche tail-pipe , please put electronic pen to paper.(that probably just amounts to you , Irish!)

Is it just me, or does that sound like a euphemism for something deeply unpleasant??

On a more serious note, is there only one type of Cargraphic sports exhaust? Do I remember seeing something in the Porsche forum about 'medium' and 'loud' systems?

Oh, and does the 100-cell catalyst system affect the noise of the car, or is it purely for added bhp?

If that last one's a stupid question, I confess it's because I'm a stupid person

I'd love to have all the answers but unfortunately all I know is:

1) I have a cargraphic sports exhaust.

2) It sounds great.

3) There was an article in the Observer recently that claimed that pimping ones exhaust (oh err missus) is the next big thing!

There are 5 vids of various model Porsches with Tubi exhausts here
Cargraphic.com has two audio files but I think they are for racing models (996GT3R).

Remus.at has 5 audio files too but I really don't think a 206cc or a Jag X-type are going to be compareable to a Porsche or Ferrari!

I tried the tubi but the remus was just a better sound plus it lets the car breath a lot better and with the F1 gear change blips the car when changing down makes me smile all day long, i think jim from the car care centre has a remus on his 911

Right ... Been on the dog and bone to Jim , he seems like a dead on sort of guy.
The exhaust he's recommending is a 'Remus' (as previously mentioned) and seemingly they manufacture for RUF!They're made in Austria (zo they must be gut!)
The other thing that interests me is that they come with a life time guarantee , baffles and all. I'm a bit worried about longevity reports on the cargraphic.
Time to start saving me pennies I think!

As an aside , has anyone got a remus exhaust fitted on their 911??

Thanks for the info weepee , It's going to be a few weeks before I have the time to get around to it , but I'd imagine the remus is the way forward. Jim saya he's putting it on his 996 .. the cute hoor in me , might wait to hear his results!!

Hi.
I am new to forums so I apologise if I have butted in when I shouldn't have.
I wonder if any one can help with some advice on sports exhaust systems for a 3.2 1987 911, my current and standard system as reached the end of it's life and instead of purchasing another standard system I would like to upgrade.
I have a budget of £500.00'ish for the hardware and wondered is this enough to purchase a system that will give the car noticable enhanced performance and sound, if so what do you recommend, if not what should my budget be and what would you recommend.
Any help / advice will be much appreciated.

A 9 M bespoke exhaust. Does what it must do , ie adds measurable power not just noise.
