Seeing as there seems to be alot of Porche and Tvr owners here, just wondering if any Lotus owners ever pop on the Ireland section of the board

Does a Caterham 7 count as a sort of a Lotus, if so hello if not I beg your pardon! I live in London but will be home in Ireland for a holiday in June.

P.S. Up the Dubs I haven't forgot about you and a passenger ride in my 7, I'll email you when I have dates for my trip to Ireland.

Cheerio!

Ferries Bueller was a wise man. 'Porsche, there is no substitute'.

Funky.... Yours isn't the silver/grey one with the red roof is it? It's been around for a while. You're the first Lotus owner in here anyway .

I'm an ex-Pat (in both meanings of the word "pat" living in Farnborough, Hants and the owner of a Caterham 7.
I've toyed with the idea of taking the 7 to Ireland but my wife is an unwilling 7 passenger at the best of times so I don't see it ever happening.

If any "natives" or over here, flag it up on PH and I may be able to oblige with a spin in the 7.

Quite a few since the dealership in dublin opened. Although certainly not common i would hazard a guess at about 20 or so. And i have seen three different ones on various trips around ireland

What about 7s (of all types)? I have NEVER seen any at all over there, apart from the Sylva Strykers racing in the Phoenix Park in 1999.

I've seen one or two 7-alikes, though I couldn't say if they were real 7s or not.

Funky, thats a nice car mate .

Thanks i do love it oh so much! I havnt actually seen any 7's around. I must say i was over driving in the uk in summer and so many ppl in classic/lotus etc cars would smile and wave but here in Ireland noone will. I swear classic drivers are the worst i will give the biggest smile when passing them and they look away like im a boy racer Which sucks because a. im not and b. im a girl (not a boy racer and c. i have a huge appriciation for classics! So if you come over here and see me wave like a mad man/woman and ill also wave like one back :P

Does a past Lotus owner count?

I had an S1 Elise from '02 to '05.

Sold it 'cos I needed something that the kids could come in too.

Yeah, I know it is a totally impractical car but it was great fun to go to the shop for one litre of milk at a time.
