You are mostly welcome, great to meet you Ballcock today, a pleasure to take you on the track.

We went to the Ospray in Naas for a few drinks afterwards, had a good chat with everyone.

It was a great day, full of true Porsche enthusiasts, I had a great time myself.

Had a few laps playing cat and mouse with that guy with the RS, great memories.

One minute of silence for my tyres.

One pair of P Zero Rosso, burned to a crisp R.I.P. !!

Ashes to ashes ..... (tyres)
Dust to dust ........(brakes!)

I Have to say I was mega impressed with the performance of your car ... I think mine felt a little tame in comparison , on the road home yesterday (God help the oncoming traffic!)

Looking forward to the next one already ..

I'd say a 90% of the differences you felt about the car performances can be explained by:

- Being a passenger is always a more 'intense' experience, since one is not in control it feels more of a white knuckle drive (I get that as a passenger when my wife drives at 50 kmh in the city....)

- It is track driving, so by definition an 'aggressive' driving style, so again hard to compare your with your car on 'normal' road driving, since only a psychopath would exploit the car like that on a road.

- Do you have stock exhaust on your car ? That could make a big diference in perception as well.

Yes JL the exhaust is stock on mine ... I couldn't afford anything above bog standard when I bought last year (And things haven't changed in that regard since , either!).
I would agree with you most of what you said there , except there was a noticeable difference in power at the top end of the revs in your car .. Well there IS nearly 50bhp in the difference between our cars ....
For sure tho , the growl of your exhaust did complete the picture nicely.
Quick question .... was that the full track in use yesterday?

Sorry Brady for the confusion.

Full track in use indeed yesterday, would love to get to Kirkistown up North too, has anyone been ? What is it like ?

Ballcock I agree, the 996 stock exhaust if far too civilized, everybody says it. Fabspeed
makes a very good unit for the 996, without all the wiring malarky, a good buy on E-Bay for Xmas !!
