Hmmm... it's nice in here isn't it???

I'm over at the old ancestral home of Valentia Island in two weeks and amongst the list of 'things to do to keep the kids occupied' (they are all to young to drink :)) I thought I might incorporate some karting into a town visit. Internet has drawn a blank...anyone know???

Valentia Update:

Rumour has it that the Royal has been sold! You will also will not believe the amount of new developments springing up in Knightstown. Ferry now €7 return.

There was go-karting in Tralee. Local tourist office can probably confirm. Also museum of Irish Transport in Killarney (hhmmm...wonder if they will have a donkey and kart!)

Don't know what date you're over but if you're here for the 24th (sunday) try out this Carzy Nutter Red Bull Air Race in Cashel. Might be a bit of a drive but the ads on tv look amazing. It's free, but you need tickets from the above website. I'll be there for definate, I've seen programmes about these guys on Discovery or similar.

Oh man!! Just got back, two weeks of scorching sun barring one day when it pissed down and we went out to Sneem for a pub lunch. Watched the Regatta with the 4-oars and Seine boats (more insane if you ask me). Swam, walked, drank...brilliant. In 40 years of going I don't think I've ever seen the weather so good.

PS Yes Royal sold.
