Tea at The Vee 2014
Discussion
Firstly here's a link to the full route for the day
http://goo.gl/maps/LPJp3
Point A is the start point and as this is just off the M8 it's easy to find and will be easily accessible for anyone coming from "up the country".
Point B is where we'll have lunch (exact details to be confirmed about price in the next day or so). We can also meet up with people coming from Limerick, etc here.
Point C is where the latecomers from Limerick can meet us.
Point D is an option to refuel.
Point E is where we'll meet the Cork gang
Point F is where we can meet the Waterford gang.
Point G is where we freeze our nuts off.
The plan is to meet up from 10.00 and get moving at 10.45.
An hour will easily have us at the lunch stop and allow for a bit of chatting and we can get grub from 12.00 and thanks to The Carvery Restaurant in Tipp Town there is a few bob off the normal price of Sunday lunch as long as you print off the voucher page posted below and hand it in when paying (one per person)
If we get mobile again for 1.00 we'll be refuelled and regrouped at Kilworth and ready to move off again at 2.00.
That'll have us comfortably at The Vee for 3.00
Even if we hang about chatting, etc for an hour the people heading home to Dublin should be there by 6.00.
Those times are approximate and we can easily adjust them if we need to.
The only real request for those coming is to not act the bollix.
Obey the speed limits (especially important in the towns / villages).
Anybody driving dangerously, diffing, etc or doing anything likely to cause injury or harm to others will be told to fu(k off.
To help ensure nobody gets lost the simple rule is don't try to keep up with the person in front of you but wait for the person behind you
I drove the Kilworth/Ballyduff/Lismore section up to The Vee today and am happy to report that the roads are as they were last year with just a few small potholes along the way. I ventured on as far as Clogheen and there were no problems there either.
Anyone coming from Cork and going up to the start point can meet up with a few of us in Fermoy just before 9am, see you all Sunday.
